As contrary to the post title, being at my hometown will never provide me with peaceful life in terms of physical aspect. War is raging everyday in this little family of mine. But, I had come to some inner peace since I came back a week ago. It feels weird that I had no longer complaining or even thinking about going into a relationship.

It had been a week since my last post and I thought I should write at least something to make this blog active. For the past week, I had been posting songs that I feel the lyrics suit me, or maybe just the music is nice. ^^ Lets go back to my opening topic.

I had been portrayed as seriously desperate guy in need to be in a relationship. Actually I am still not into serious relationship but being in KL somewhat makes me feel like college should be the place. I am not ready for it, I think too much, especially on how am I going to take care of another person when I myself is heading towards damnation.

Being in Melaka had gave me the love of family although the people here quarrel everyday. It makes me forget about other form of love. Even my little kitties can accompany me during midnights when all others had gone to bed. Always wanted to find a girl that acts like those cute creatures, which likes to be pampered. I unable to do that yet to a lady.

And maybe friendship comes into play too. Since coming back here, I had faced the monitor almost 24 hours a day. I got the chance to interact with friends that will argue and debate anything with me. Those "gayness" relationship with Nigel, Oscar, Joseph, Ronald and Greg helped a lot. (P/S: We are straight. Nigel, I'm still breaking up with you.)

Although the desperate feeling fades, but I still try to think of any girl that maybe some time in future possibly become the sister-in-law of those bros out there. I was able to reassess what i want in my partner and hell it's a total different direction from what I wanted when I enter college. Taste changes and maybe I should go for a mature-thinking girl, who looks okay (Looks is still important, although years later my taste will change again).

A rule of thumb, the girl must "进得了厨房,出得了厅堂,上得了床"! LOLx Hopefully she will come. The sooner, the better. Gone, Nigel, Gone!

It had been more than a week since my last post and many stuff had happened within this period. From fetch a pretty lady back KL from Klang to results coming out and CTRE course I had attended. At finally, I am typing this post for you from Melaka.

Hopefully I can write on all of those stuff in coming days. Really need pray hard that I don't get lazy. This post is to talk about my results from last semester and also some comment on anything that comes to my mind about the subjects.

First subject I that came of the result page was Strategic Planning & Management. (Was using iPod Touch and scrolling down the mini screen =.=) I got A-. A good result indeed at first glance. With the tips and also answers that was given by the lecturer before the exam, a good outcome is inevitable. After some thought, A- is not the result I was hoping for. I need at least an A to show that Mr Chee that his perspective of me was wrong.

Mr Chee is a good lecturer indeed, but as many good tutors in TARC are, a bit arrogant. Why would I need a good result? To prove to him that he is a sucker when he condemn my test results. During midterm test, I got 71%, which I feel okay. But this guy just say he should not give me such good results. WTF Why you don't say this to those who get 80-90% by copying out of text? If I got an A, I would text him this, "What I got in the test shows my true potential, what they got in test is nothing near what will they get in the finals." Well, I don't have the luxury to write this to him. What a shame. What a disappointment.

Then the next to come is International Business Environment. I was expecting to get an A but an A- is a good result. With the tips given all out of the real exam questions, many people was worried. I'm not because I read the whole book, not just tips. The lecturer, Mr Khoo was a nice guy and look pretty like a Chinese singer. I sleep in his class, played computer games but he just smile every time. Maybe he just don;t give a damn. =.= Anyway, really need to thank him for what he taught us, although it is something that had been repeated throughout my four years in TARC.

Next scrolled up the screen was Case Study. I had no say, speechless. Got a B-. The worst result for a paper since I enrolled in TARC. What can I do? Full assignment paper and assignments are my weak link. I don;t have good relationship with the lecturers and those results are based on subjective views. And Mr Lenny was a boring lecturer. While he say he will marked objectively, all I can say is don;t bullshit me. =.= You even scolded me when it was not me who talked in the class.

Lastly was my favorite subject, International Marketing. It was taught by Ms Saranjit a.k.a. Mom. This was the most interesting class in my TARC life. ^^ From the first class I was actively participating. LOLx Replied "Yes, Mom" when my name was called on taking attendance. Interaction between classmates was at a high point with her interesting way of conducting lectures and tutorials. Got an A was a sure thing. Met her after got my result and she was also a very happy lady especially knowing me getting A and also YeeHang getting B in her paper.

Lastly, the overall result was dragged down by my CS result. T.T With a CGPA of 3.6210, I had to say goodbye to my certificate of Distinction graduation. Hopefully I still can get a First Class Degree from SHU when I fly there in June. ^^ Peace out~~

This topic may be creepy for some people and maybe I will be bombarded with comments against me. Well, yesterday I read about some guy commenting on eating stray dog as a way to curb the increasing number of problems caused by the canines mentioned. (The Star Views "Eating dogs and other tortured flesh")

Personally, I think that's not a good idea. It's stray, and may be carrying diseases that will transmitted to human if consumed. But I am not against eating dog meat.

As a business aspirant, I am always looking for any opportunities that can work (none work to date =.=). My uncle did once suggest that breeding dogs for consumption purposes, which I think is a great idea. It's a new business direction, have a potential market and it's just similar to breeding swines.

But, if I were to proceed with that idea, I may be protested against by those SPCA or some other hypocritical (to some extend) society out there. I do feel that their intention to protect dogs and cats and maybe something else is a good deed indeed, but against eating dog meat is absurd. How can you link eating dog meat to torturing dogs? One question, do you eat any other kind of meat? Eating pork or beef is actually the same those meat I had longed to taste.

So, some argued that those loyal animals are pets and "best friend" of humankind? Then what about swines? Some westerners do keep them as pet, and your are eating it. Shame on you, eating pets-to-be of other people. Then, some argued social norms. I can't argue for Muslims as they are prohibited to consume it and I respect that, but Chinese? Our ancestors do consume dogs as delicacy in the past. Why change now?

We, human, lived in this world where onlyt the strong will persevere. People can be cannibals if forced to. And I don't see why eating dogs make us less humane, as we are already inhumane enough. I do looking forward to one day finally taste the Caninelicious meat, as described by many people.

As for cats, I prefer not to talk about it because I am as hypocritical as those "humane beings" out there. I don't against anyone eating cats or other pet-class animals but for me feline consumption is a no no.

My last few article was too long and boring I think as no one gave me any comments. T.T So I will try to keep this one brief, hopefully. I was going to write about the Flat Earth Society but I think I can't convince myself to write such an absurd stuff in my blog. LOL I believe the Earth is round and revolve around the sun. Full stop.

That was not what I going to talk about today. Today's topic will be one Chinese love to give in their time for - gambling. I planned to write this last week after the CTRE but was not motivated until today when my friends discussed about gambling in Genting again.

No one can deny that Chinese crave for the trill of gambling, or maybe just the winning part. LOL Who doesn't? Based on my research from articles for my assignments last year, I found out that there is actually a scientific explanation to this. Chinese have high external locus of control and attributes their wealth and gains on their luck and fate. They also think that some alteration to tiny aspect in life can make them in control over the dealer. Innocent group of people.

For Chinese, although not all of us, if we are in a state of winning, it's our luck. If we lose, we blame our ancestors for not protecting us against the bad lucks. We blame those who are dead when we do not prosper. Maybe I can see the logic for general stuff but in terms of gambling in casinos like Genting, I think we should thank our ancestor for providing protection against these evil games. Why did I say so? Here's why.

Let's say if your ancestor provide you a favor, helping you to win the very first time you gamble, you will be happy but not yet addicted. Then, you win and win and one day become addicted, you are gone as the probability is stacked against you in any casino in the world. If your ancestor let you lose the first few times, then you will have a mindset against gambling and that may saved you from future losses, huge one. Gambling addiction kills too.

Don't believe me? I have one friend who won in style the first time. "In style" means everywhere he bet that day he won, almost every bet. He even wanted to try to show hand on the dice on his last round before being stopped by other friends. He was definitely addicted that night he lost his virginity in casino gambling. Had he not lost on his second adventure to the mountain of wealth "giving" few weeks later, he may become one of those who lose everything due to gambling addiction. He might still have the urge to throw his money in this "deposit account" to gain future "interest" but had slowed down in his action.

If we look into it in the long term, our ancestor might have been protected us from the catastrophic effect of gambling. So, I think losing a little in the beginning might be a blessing in disguise for all. Maybe trying some luck with control will be a good way to pass time but limit yourself. ^^

Few days ago, I had nothing to do that I went through the whole PPS list of movies and found some really epic classic movies. Two of I had watched was “The God Must Be Crazy” and its sequel. These two movies are from the 80’s and I am not sure whether any of the peers my age had ever watched or even heard of these movies. “The God Must Be Crazy in China” might have some viewers as it’s a Hong Kong production.

I really got attached to my seat although there are some slight connection problems that cause the movie not to be buffed smoothly. Nevertheless, the time used to watch the two movies is worth it. The main actor from Namibia, N!xau was effectively portrayed as the indigenous tribal population distanced from modern civilization. The story had started off with a narration about life of the human in the modern world and those in the wild safari of the Kalahari Desert.

The narration was quite critical with some sense of humor brought into it. Comparing the so called civilized world to the tribal life, the narrator suggested that humankind are trying to make their environment suits them, through building of skyscrapers and usage of transportations. But as they develop, humankind moved too fast and does not know how to limit their expansion in knowledge and reliance on technologies in their life. From my point of view based on the scene in the current world, the predictions from this movie seems to come through.

How many people today can really survives the day without any technological assistance? Let’s say the telephone, those traditional ones. No one will use smoke to convey message long distance anymore. Or there is? The narrator also suggested that the advancement of these technologies had not made life easier for human but brought by even negative impact, which I truly agree. The part which I agree most is students need to learn more and more by the year to fully understand their life. A simple Kalahari Desert bushman need not learn that much, and they just need to learn to understand their basic environment. Technologies had made us needing more than 15 years of studies, so I would like to fuck those who initiate the Industrial Revolution.

One more interesting thing that the narrator brought up is the fixed lifestyle of human, which 7.30AM is the time to wake up and 8.00AM is a time to work and the day routinely goes by. Quite interestingly, there are actually no rules specify that we should follow that routine, but people are just following the flow. This was also portrayed in an episode in the cartoon “Dilbert” where the main character is confuse why on Earth people follow the status quo and caused rush hour which lead to traffic jams. You can see it in every city in the world, with KL not exempted.

After the narrations that had caught my attention, the story starts with a pilot throwing an empty bottle of Coca-Cola out of his plane and fell in front of the main character (although I feel that his part in the movie is more complementary.) Unknown to the tribe of the existence of a bottle, he sees it as a gift from god and brought it home. He found it useful in their daily life but as days gone by it became a nightmare for them, which they subsequently labelled the bottle "The Evil Thing".

They had always thank their god for supplying plenty of resources but sadly the god just gave them one bottle, forcing them to try to own the bottle and not sharing it. It caused hatred among this innocent tribe. They had a discussion and agreed to give it back to god but throwing up in the air won’t really make your stuff be returned to god. Well, they don’t know about it. How innocent. LOL Then Xi volunteered to throw it into the edge of the world, which he presumes can be reached through 20-40 days of journey to the East. LOL What the fuck! =.=

Then the story alternates between the modern world’s rebellions and the journey of Xi. The movie then started to drive towards the comedy part. One part which makes me remembered the most is the rebels take cover in the banana plantation as they were hunted by the army. The movement was so cartoon-like especially the person who reloads the bazooka. For more about the movie, watch it yourself. LOL But Xi successfully throw the bottle into the edge of Earth in the end of the story.

The 1989 sequel to this 1981 movie also has the same genre, comedy with alternation between Xi and modern humans. This movie was more on the value of family and was focused on the illegal ivory trade in Africa. Xi’s children was transferred unintentionally by an ivory hunting vehicle and Xi run miles after miles to find his lost children. Although the plot is not as good as the first movie, it is more hilarious especially the encounter between the two American main characters with Xi, a local military official and a Cuban rebel that somehow was in Africa. The story end in a touching note, in which Xi hugs his children and has tears flowing down their eyes.

Some really old movies are better than the movies being screened in the theaters now. They also ought to bring our family are moral values more often as compared to the for entertainment only modern creation. One example is Avatar which I will rate it lowly in terms of the plot and also the acting. I do admire its graphic but being beaten by Hurt Locker in this year’s Academy Award is truly justified. Avatar is just not Oscar material. Another thing is I feel that science fiction movies that are produced in the 90’s are significantly more interesting than the current ones, notably my favorites “Minority Report” and “The Fifth Element”.

People’s tastes changes as time passes, but I feel that my time stopped in the 80’s and 90’s. Hopefully in this decade there will better movies on the table for us. ^^

The Formula One fever is back and the carnival is going to be kicked start in less than a week. Nevertheless, the atmosphere is burning hot on the grid, and off the grid too in Malaysia. The first stop for this year’s race is Bahrain and I am really looking forward to it. ^^

I had been following Formula One since 1999, the year Malaysia caught that fever. After 11 years, Formula One is still able to catch my attention with its new technologies. (Yes, techs. There girls in F1 is not as plentiful.) Well, every year there will be new excitements and this year is what I can say the one I most anticipate.

Why did I said so? This year there will be again new rules. The most notable change is the removal of refueling during pit stops, reverting the race back to its original form in 1994. Maybe by removing that function, few people in the team will have to be laid off. LOLx We will see less flames in the pit but strategies are still important as tyres do wear off. Less the refueling, racers will certainly need to rely less on team strategists and focus more on racing their race. Racing should be done through overtaking on tracks, not through pit stops. =.= There might be also changes in the point system, but I cannot confirm on that.

Then there will be new teams competing amid the withdrawal of two experienced teams. Of the four new teams that registered themselves, only three might make the grid. And the one I really look forward is Lotus, who are returning to F1 under the support from the Malaysian government and businessperson, notably Datuk Tony Fernades. Owned by Proton now, Lotus sports cars are one of my favourites. Looking forward to see them finish middle of the pack (Honesty, I don’t see them chasing for top honours this year). Another team was built by my idol, Richard Branson, the owner of Virgin Group. Both Tony and Richard even had a bet on who will be better and the loser, LOL, will have to wear their counterpart’s airline’s air stewardess dress. This is something nice to see at the end of the season.

The biggest anticipation of all will be the returning of the legendary Michael Schumacher. My top sports idol, made his name through titles while at Benetton and Ferrari before retiring. Perhaps life gets bored if you are used to being fast. Still remembering the first season I watch F1 on papers, he was good, but broke his leg in a crash that year. He ended the season 5th in the overall ranking. With a broken leg marred his season, his position is extremely good. He was a Ferrari driver ever since I started viewing F1 races and so, Ferrari was my top choice to support.

But this year will be a different scenario, he had signed with Mercedes, with the consent of Ferrari (Ferrari respected him so much they just let him go although he is their biggest ambassador). And for this I respect Ferrari for letting Michael continuing his dreams. Ferrari got two good drivers but I will root for Mercedes GP this season and seasons thereafter if this macho looking driver’s still around. Looking forward to see him take risk in the circuit again, as no one is really near him in terms of risk taking. Ironically, I don’t like Mercedes’ design of sports car.

With the return of the Michael, the field will be packed with so many world champions in the same season for the 1st time in years. We will get to see Alonso (the guy who beat Michael to the crown two years straight before the legend retires) in a red hot Ferrari, Hamilton and reigning champ Button in a all British McLarens and also the legend himself. It is sad that Raikonen prefer to opt out of this season (Ladies would be disappointed, but there’s still Jenson Button to look to). Other than these ex-champs, there also so many drivers in contention for the title. Massa, Vettel, Kubica and the list goes on.

Ask me who I wish will be champion in the end of the season? I will go for Massa in Ferrari for drivers championship and Red Bull for constructors’ championship. I really admire Massa being Schumacher’s sidekick before the One retire. The most cooperative driver I’d seen (Maybe it’s because it’s Schumacher), respond well to team orders and a risk taker in his driving as well (Remembers his tussle with Kubica few years ago for position). Why not Schumacher? Doesn’t he had enough holy grails in his house’s cabinet already? It will be good for him to win again but I will like Massa to take the trophy for the effort he put in. Losing in the final corner of the season two years was unfair for him. God was wrong and should fix it.

Back to the Tony v Richard case, who would I support? I would love to see Tony Fernandes wear a dress more than Richard. LOLx I feel that the Virgin owner is the type who would wear a dress even he was not asked to do so. But as a Malaysian, which I am proud of (Don’t bomb me if you don’t like Malaysia), I will support Lotus, support Proton, and in the end against Richard. T.T Hopefully, Proton’s advisor Tun Dr Mahathir will present me the new Lotus sports car as a gift for being a true Malaysian if he sees this (dreaming ^^), opposing my favourite businessperson.

The race starts in Bahrain, looking forward to it. Cavallino Rampante was the symbol I looked upon, now it’s a Malaysia flag.

I came across an article in StarTwo's Lifestyle the other day that I couldn't agree more. Because I was one of those who behaved so. The article was titled "Positive thinking is negative".

From the moment I know numbers, or I can say understand stuff, people around me had taught me to be optimistic. And I think I accept that concept of thinking pretty well, until some time later in my life (talk about it later in the post).

This concept is quite useful in motivating people to thrive for success. Being optimistic can really build up one's self belief. Yes, I do believe I will be the richest guy on planet Earth, which as I grow older it seems unachievable.

When one is being too optimistic, they might try to be perfect in every single task they are into as their mindset had hypnotized them to believe that it is possible to gain every outcome they expect. When plans does not goes perfectly, they don't come up with new contingency plans, but instead being in constant state of denial, believing the good will come eventually. Yeah, dream on baby. =.=

Many motivational speakers are also constantly using optimistic mentality to make people believe in the underlying ability. I don't mean they are doing something bad, it's just don't go overboard. One very old phrase that was told to me, by many people is "If you think you can, you can!" Now, I believe I can fly, I believe I can touch the sky. Seems familiar? Don't tell me you never heard of this. =.= Yes, men did fly but they never touch the sky (sky is something abstract). Some stuff are just impossible to be achieved.

The optimistic and pessimistic spectrum is shaped like a horseshoe, from my personal perspective. If you don't know what the shape of horseshoe, go google it. We can instill optimistic mentality in us, but to a certain amount. Be ideal, be down to earth. Believe that you can achieve the achievable. Being too optimistic will being us to the same effect of us being pessimistic, which is being lost in the journey of life.

As promised, my story which is some whining and I don't expect you to like it. I always believe in getting what I wanted. I have high confidence level and was really quite unbeatable, until primary 3. Then as I grow older, I started to learn that I am not as gifted as I thought. I am normal. Then, after some (many) disappointment in you-know-what-I-am-bad-at section of my life, I started to wake and think that I shouldn't be too optimistic. Don't dream of those fancy work I can do, I won't be able to pay myself to experience zero gravity. Get a job like tutoring in college will do for me now, and a good girl to share everything. Is there any vacancy in TAR College?

Bringing back to my topic, I am not discouraging people to be optimistic. I want everyone to greet their morning with a smile, wishing everyone the best in their day. But there is a limit. Be ideal, not perfect.

Although I had agree with the author on the topic in many areas, I disagree on the section about the pink ribbon campaign. Being optimistic does not help cure your cancer but why being pessimistic when you can live life? I agree with the author that the campaign should stop ask people to embrace their sickness, that's a really weird stuff to do. But do embrace life, make others happy (or not so sad).

And for the conclusion, I don't know what I just shit out here, but I think it's something worth reading if you have nothing else to do. Finally, stop fantasizing to be in the perfect world waiting for the perfect outcome, to me and to all of you. Optimism overdose kills. Seriously, I need to start to get a job. Is TAR College a good choice?

Yesterday, I went for Continuous Tourism Related Education courses that is required for me to renew my tourist guide license. It is the first time I took the course outside Melaka, and it's kind of anxious, entering an unknown territory.

Before I go into details of the course, I will like to say that sometimes fate just don't run into me. I knew her class was some time around 9AM, thus I went out to the LRT station just about the right time and even went to the McD near her campus. I waited and she did not appeared. I really had to go as my registration time is at 9.30AM.

Then, I just continue my journey after my breakfast at McD. Came to Global Institute of Tourism for the second time in a week. This time, there are humans greeting me in the front office, contrary to last week where I had to look for people to attend to my enquiries. The attendance was exceeded my expectation, 50+ for Chinese class about "Sun Zhu's The Art of War" and 40+ for English class about "1Malaysia". The first class was quite interesting and there is an animated video for us to watch. The class was presented by Alvin Sim, a tourist guide himself.

Then, after the 1st class ended, I requested for the Wifi password for GIT's Internet connection. When I logged in Facebook, I need to whine about my luck and the fate to meet her. She went to the exact same McD after I left. She reach 1 hour later, apparently she was late for class. =.= Well, there is really no fate between us as her class ends earlier than mine ("1Malaysia" class had not started yet) and I cannot go back with her. T.T

Heartbreak. Went out early hoping to meet her and she was there late. T.T Never mind, let's continue. The "1Malaysia" talk started and presented was by Mr. Isvaran. From my point of view, he may not have much credible argument when challenged by fellow tourist guides but his passion towards multiracial unity is plausible. His talk was not quite accepted by some people but I really admire him embracing the culture of other races. He did show himself wearing Malay and Indian traditional attire. He even mentioned he wore Cheongsam before, led to laughter around the class. He was referring to the traditional male attire of "Samfu", which to my amusement non of the tourist guide knows, or the did not bother to share what they know like I do.

Mr. Isvaran also asked us to gave our opinion on how to encourage people to support the 1Malaysia concept. I personally feel that these concept are initiated by those people in power and the opposition will politicized it not caring whether it was good or bad to the people. Government must make sure that these noble programs should not be use as a mean to gain popularity. Maybe by distancing themselves from the whole concept can make it more acceptable for people from both fraction of the nation. That's my opinion, please leave yours in the comment section.

Then, that was my day. On other happenings, my house was broke in yesterday morning. None of my stuff were lost but felt bad for my housemate who lost his new hand phone to the burglar. I hope that there will be eternal bad luck for the burglar and hopefully there will not be any misfortune for us in these last two months staying here.
